An Enjoyable Lunch Outing in Gatineau

This afternoon, after a morning of practising making cakes in the Wilbrod House kitchen, I went out to lunch in Gatineau (across the river from Ottawa) with a couple of friends, just to relax. We went to Arôme, a restaurant in the Hilton Hotel (next to Casino du Lac-Leamy), and the buffet-style lunch was most enjoyable. The food was fresh and of good quality; the service was excellent. I appreciated the chance to observe how the buffet is laid out, and the kind of food served there.

After lunch, we walked around briefly, and took a few photos, before coming back to Ottawa. It was starting to drizzle, so we did not stay long.

The large fountain in Lac-Leamy, and it really reminds me of the Captain Cook Memorial Jet in Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra, Australia.
