If you recall, in my exam on 17 November, I was really disappointed with the dull and sandy ganache on my Pavé du Roy. However the transcript showed that my chocolate cake scored highly on taste, which is nice to know. Must be the extra rum I put into the syrup. ;-)
The exam mark contributes to 45% of the total mark for the course. My exam mark of 34.97/45 actually brought my overall score for the course up to almost 73% (which is considered a good mark, as I was told by a fellow student that virtually no student score over 80% at this School).
We are all on holidays now. This week I am helping my housemates with the construction of a gingerbread house for the Prime Minister's family. Next week and the week after, I will be volunteering in production kitchen every weekday (10 days in total). Then it will be time to celebrate Christmas...
