

I found that it is not that hard to carve a fruit (assuming you have really sharp knives), once you have the hang of what to cut out and what to leave behind. However, it is quite a skill to get the carving to look clean and neat. That's where practice makes perfect. It was the same with the two pumpkins I carved for Halloween.
I guess that means my housemates and I will be practising more fruit carving in the future, seeing as it is one of the components in Superior Pastry.
