Make your own (insert name of dish)

A wonderful thing about living in Wilbrod House is that most of my housemates here are quite capable of whipping up all kinds of dishes (either from memory or from following a recipe) at short notice. For example, if someone suddenly fancies chocolate ice cream, then the ingredients for ice cream are gathered and the ice cream maker comes out of the kitchen cupboard, and someone gets to work (since people here are always eager to practise their skills), and we get treated to homemade ice cream. It is wonderful to be able to make a dish from scratch, and do it in a relatively short time.

The kitchen and dining room form the hub of the house. There's often some food left on the dining table for everyone to try. Cakes made at school are brought home, people often experiment with new recipes and ask for feedback ... It is just a nice environment to be in.

I have been here about a week, and I have settled in nicely. Tomorrow is Orientation Day at LCB. I am looking forward to it.
