Piping Practice



This morning we attended a piping workshop. The chef instructor showed us the correct techniques for piping buttercream and chocolate.

As you can see from the photo, the chef has had many years of practice. His piping is so neat and beautiful.

I was too embarrassed to take a picture of my own piping (besides, I had buttercream all over my hands, which was not very good). More piping practice needed between now and exam time (about 9 weeks).

I am going to get some nutella (which is similar in consistency to buttercream) to practise with this weekend. One of my housemates suggested using cheap shaving cream to practise with. I think that is a good idea too.
